hot
Well I have just about decided that I live in Hell after all....otherwise what would a nice flannel shirt wearing kind of gal be doing stuck in southern Texas with this weather fit only for snakes, cactus, cockroaches, and sun dried tomatoes (on the vine!) ?? Living in Texas all my life should have acclimated me , but noooooooooooooo, not me...I remain a hold out, one who hates the heat and is miserable in it. Too fair to stay in the sun for very long without suffering dire consequences...enjoying water sports is pretty much out. So here I sit...in a local that has out of 365 days...a general total of maybe 10 in the winter that it gets to freezing, no snow, very rare ice storms, a few weeks of cool weather in the winter, a few weeks mild weather in the spring and fall, and LOTS of longgggggggggg hot days and warm humid nights. And its only mid-June. To make it worse I have lovely friends who enjoy telling me...well it was 40* here this morning when it's 80 here at 8:30 am! or well it's been up to 75* here today when I have been baking here in 95* weather. Oh and by the way-does anybody need any grasshoppers? I have a bumper crop this year..it must be over 10 per sq ft. They go everywhere when you stop into the grass. What the sun doesn't fry, those hungry lil hoppers will gnaw to death in just days. Hurry up November...I can't take off any more clothes and I am still HOT!!!
